miss k | chilliwack bridal boudoir | kerensa leigh

I was honored when miss k asked me to shoot her bridal boudoir. she came with a nice selection of outfit changes and her best friend. she was married in may and i do believe her husband had quite a wonderful surprise when he was given the images from this session.

due to the sensitive nature of this session, miss k has asked that i not reveal her face…so here are some of the more discreet images from our time together…

baby camden | north van newborn photography | kerensa leigh

welcome baby camden:)he was all done cooking in his opinion and came into the world 5 weeks early…but that being said he was a strong, healthy little babe. he was able to breathe on his own right away and didn’t need any other assistance aside from eating. his suck, swallow reflex was immature so he was on a feeding tube for the first few days. once he was able to feed on his own he was able to come home! his big brother ashton is super cute and so far he’s been good with the new addition to his family. they are now settling into their new home with their new baby and i’m so excited to see ashton and camden grow up:)

here are a few of my faves… a few are from Pinterest….

Baby Abel | Chilliwack Newborn Photography | kerensa leigh

since my baby is 5 months old already and weighing in at a whopping 20 lbs i get really excited to get some more snuggles in with new babies! and while Abel wasn’t up for napping he was so calm and quiet and he was just taking it all in. big sister Sage was too cute and don’t tell anyone but i wanted to keep her;)with her blonde curls and she was so friendly. when you see mom and dad though, you know where their kids get their good looks from!

mike & andy | moose maternity | west van photography | kerensa leigh

i love west van, i love stanley park and the surrounding areas, there is something so calming and peaceful being at the ocean. the air is so fresh, the sound of the crashing waves is soothing, and the people there have no where else they’d rather be! it is all so different from the valley. where the air is fresh…with the smell of farms, the sounds are filled with the hustle and bustle of cars with people going to work or back home, both not bad places to be but when compared to the ocean…it does feel a little dim.

mike and andy asked me to help them document their second pregnancy at dundarave park. the photoshoot went great, but events leading up to it and after it were not so golden…we were meeting my parents at stanley park and they were going to look after my boys, well there had been an accident on the 2nd narrows bridge so 5 lanes were merging into 1…we didn’t bother with paying for parking because we weren’t going to be there very long…$40 later:(and after we were done with the shoot my husband impaled his foot with a sharp piece of bark!! he ended up needing a tetanus shot after spending 2 hours in the ER! but like i said, the photos turned out great!

their family nickname is moose and we will be incorporating some stuffed moose into our newborn session…but first, here are some pics from their beach session. we finished this session just in time as baby camden arrived four days later at 5 and a half weeks early…i can’t wait to get some snuggles in:)
